THIS IS ME: KRISTI WOZNIAK
I was born on January 23, 1981 in a small town in Central Alberta. I grew up as a middle child, Childhood memories would be helping my dad out fixing and building things, Learning from my oldest sister, while stealing my clothes back from my younger sister. I love and appreciated my mother more when I became a mom.
In 1999 I gave birth to a son. Being a teenage mom was very difficult. It made me grow up much faster than all my friends, having to leave most of them behind as we no longer had anything in common. Being a mom so young made me stronger, more determined to make better life choices, that’s why I moved to out of my small home town and started my path onto post secondary education. I went to school for 4 years, obtaining a degree in Criminal Justice. Soon after I meet my husband, got married had two more beautiful children!
Deciding to enter the business ownership life, we bought a daycare in 2006. Lets just saw it was very interesting and challenging to say the least! Too all the Daycare workers/owners out their you are amazing people! We expanded the daycare from 89 spaces to 119, and had it accredited under 2 years! But everything must come to a end and we decided to sell the Daycare and start another venture.
Exploring other business opportunities I found my passion with fitness and fashion. Quickly realizing the lack of option out there for unique workout wear that actually fits mothers and women with figure I went to work designing KEYLIME.
I opened opened KEYLIME Athletic Wear in October 2009. In a short time KEYLIME has become a well know business. KEYLIME is a Canadian company offering high quality athletic wear. We offer clothing that will meet the needs of the casual exerciser to the serious athlete. Clothing that will look and feel great not just in the yoga class or at the gym but not matter where you are and what you are doing. In the fall of 2018 we celebrated our 10th year in business!
There’s no such thing as WORK LIFE balance. When sh*t comes up you need to pick what’s priority at that time. When you need a break, you need to take a break. I have 3 children. 19years, 12 years and 9 years old! My number one focus has been spending quality time with my children, but staying sane at the same time. Taking up hobbies and sports like Ball Hockey and Hot Yoga has helped me focus on my self care, me time.
I have the most amazing friends! There has been a handful of friends that have truly become family. I wouldn’t be here with out them, having someone to lean on, to listen to hold my hand and tell me everything is going to be okay. Everyone is pretty and beautiful in their own way, I had to stop trying to fit into the perfect mold….being with people that make you smile and laugh is so important.
Here are a few of my favourite quotes…
I don’t know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.
The best way to become boring is to say everything.-Voltaire
“There is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey, not a destination. So work like you don’t need money, love like you’ve never been hurt, and, dance like no one’s watching”
So, stop waiting ..
Until your car or home is paid off.
Until you get a new car or home.
Until your kids leave the house.
Until you go back to school.
Until you finish school.Until you lose 10 lbs.
Until you gain 10 lbs.
Until you get married.
Until you get a divorce.
Until you have kids.
Until you retire.
Until you die
Much LOVE Friends,
